Current World Record The current world record was set in Jeddah, Saudi where 2,541 children created a hand print painting measuring 209.196 sq.m.

Purpose: 

Purpose Egypt’s first time to break a Guinness World Record The first International Scale Event Commemorating Universal Children’s Day in Egypt Deliver the important message of defending Children’s Rights and declaring our commitment to “Protecting our Future Generations”

Purpose (Cont’d) The concept of Children’s Rights is not really understood by the mass and so various infractions on the right of the Child are regularly witnessed (violence, FGM/C, child labour, etc.) Adults need to be constantly educated and reminded about the rights of the Child in order to secure endorsement on the local, pan-Arab and international levels

Proposed Activities: 

Proposed Activities Creation of the World’s Largest Hand Print Painting done by Children An appropriate image will be designed to visually portray a message from the children to the World Approximately 3500 children will participate United Nations Goodwill Ambassadors and other celebrities and VIP guests will be invited to monitor the process of the creation of the hand print painting

Proposed Activities (Cont’d) Various Fun activities/games for the children Awareness initiatives planned by various local and international NGO’s will play an integral role in the event so as not to lose the educational focus of the day Literature will be available and distributed to attendees on the topic of Children’s Rights, etc.
