Revised schedule emailed by Thu 11am If you say you can work, you have to work! If you need to cancel last minute, you can find a replacement using the referee info sheet that will be emailed to you. You must let the PC know when and with whom you are switching!Uniform: Uniform Look the part! BLACK shorts/Pants Whistle - provided Shoes – athletic shoes (no cleats) Watch – wear a watch that has a stopwatch.Injuries: Injuries Report all injuries to IPC’s immediately! If you are not sure whether to report an injury – report the injury! When to stop the game Call DPS 740-4321Pre-Game: Pre-Game Special IM rules Managers talk to officials Points of emphasis Sportsmanship F-bomb rule Trash talk Rules: Rules NCAA Rules will govern Two 20 min running halves 1 time out per half of 1 min 5 players to start game Clock always runs except during timeouts. At 2:00 left in the game- Eight consecutive plays will be run, and the game will be over. Extra points do not count as plays If one team leads by 22 or more, the “8 plays” rule is not used, the clock continues to run.Rules: Rules Coed Modifications Crossing situations Advantage/Disadvantage Sportsmanship Review of common penalties Points of Emphasis: Points of Emphasis Crossing Advantage/disadvantage: Did the crossing pattern allow the receiver an advantage? Was the Defensive Back put at a disadvantage Flag guarding any action by the ball carrier which hinders an opponent from legally attempting to secure the runner’s flagPoints of Emphasis-Flag Guarding: Points of Emphasis-Flag Guarding Examples: a) “stiff arming” tactics b) Slapping a defender’s arm hand away from one’s flags c) Excessive spinning d) Diving – if, in the judgment of the official, the diviing prevented the defender from securing the flags e) Dipping ones head, shoulders or upper body in such a way (waist or below) as to prevent a defender from grabbing the flags f) A ball carrier running in a straight line and not trying to avoid Contact with the defender(s) or running with his/her head down Field Coverage: Field Coverage 3 man mechanics Covering plays End zone position Announcing foulsOfficiating Tips: Officiating Tips Hustle!
