VSA arts of Florida : VSA arts of Florida The VSAFL Artist Registry is a statewide roster of artists with disabilities using all media types.
The registry was developed in 2001, from a grant by the Able Trust Foundation, to promote artists with disabilities who live in Florida.

Why is VSAFL involved?: Why is VSAFL involved? 2005 VSA arts of Florida was awarded a National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) grant.

Why is VSAFL involved?: Why is VSAFL involved? In 2006 VSAFL received a second NEA grant to work with state, public and private organizations to increase understanding of the viability of a career in the arts.

Barriers to Careers: Barriers to Careers Pamela Walker, an artist with a disability, contends all artists require a multi-layered array of opportunities to develop their careers which include:
funding, training and education, showcase opportunities, work experience, peer support and networking opportunities.

ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY ACT: ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY ACT The purposes of the ATA are:
To support states in sustaining and strengthening the AT needs of individuals with disabilities
To support the investment in technology across federal agencies and departments that could benefit individuals with disabilities
To support micro-loan programs to individuals wishing to purchase AT devices or services

Partnering With Voc Rehab: Partnering With Voc Rehab VSAFL can link the client to professionals in specific areas for evaluation.
VSAFL can also provide local resources for training and other related services.
