To help humanity in the dark age, the Lord turned Himself into stone. The Hindu scripture mentions the story of Balaji as follows. Sage Brighu once went in search to find out who is the supreme one in the Hindu triad Gods, the ‘ Trimurti ’. He was not satisfied with the way he got treated by Brahma and Shiva. He approached Lord Vishnu in anger and kicked the chest of the Lord to grab his attention.
