Florence, OR: 

Florence, OR The dunes were awesome. The big blue rig though was a little more dull than the sand rails.

Travis AFB: 

Travis AFB While at Travis AFB visiting my sister, I toured her plane (the C-17 bomber) and went to the Mall in Sacramento.

Lake Tahoe, NV: 

Lake Tahoe, NV At Lake Tahoe, I visited heavenly mountain ski resort, went to Hard Rock Café, and stayed and gambled at Harrah’s/Harvey’s Hotel.

Reno, NV: 

Reno, NV While in Reno, I had to visit the big sign downtown, and the automobile museum. I stayed at the Circus Circus and got lucky on the slots.

Yosemite National Park, CA: 

Yosemite National Park, CA At Yosemite I went on a guided 6 hour horseback trip. The scenery was awesome but I was a little soar when I arrived back at the car.

San Francisco, CA: 

San Francisco, CA My stay at San Fran was fun. I stayed at the Marriot hotel. I went to the zoo there my second day before heading out.

Redding, CA: 

Redding, CA I went mountain biking and stayed at the Oxford Suites in Redding, CA.

Crater Lake, OR: 

Crater Lake, OR At Crater Lake I camped at the campground there and took a tour of the lake.

Baker, OR: 

Baker, OR At baker, I went to the Interpretive center and stayed at the Super Eight Motel.

Wallowa Lake, OR: 

Wallowa Lake, OR I tent camped at Wallowa Lake. I fished and fished and this was my time to relax before heading home.

BIG, GIGANTIC, HUGE, ABNORMALLY LARGE TRIP JOURNAL Day 1- 6/5/07 Today I hit the road. I started in Dayton, WA, driving my vehicle south until I got to Florence, OR. On the way I stopped at the rest stop on the other side of the Tri-Cities, ate lunch at McDonalds and ate dinner in Florence. Day 2- 6/6/07 I am at Travis AFB as we speak. My sister is giving me a place to stay. The drive from Florence was nice. I got some motion sickness on the dunes though (bad idea to start off your day on a sand rail and then drive 350 more miles). Day 3- 6/7/07 Today my sister and I went shopping at the mall in Sacramento. She drove us downtown. After that we ate at The Cliff House at Folsom restaurant. It was very fancy. We called it a day after that and then I would say goodbye to her and head out in the morning.

Day 4- 6/8/07 Today I said goodbye to my sister and headed for Lake Tahoe, NV. I arrived at the base of Heavenly ski resort on the south Nevada Shore at around six o’ clock. I ate at Hard Rock Café in Harvey’s Resort/Casino. After that I gambled and won $50. I was happy. Day 5- 6/9/07 I gambled some more today. I took a boat tour of Lake Tahoe that lasted about three hours. I didn’t know it was that big. Once I got back to my car I headed for Reno. I checked in at the Circus Circus, ate at the steakhouse and called it a day. Day 6- 6/10/07 Today in Reno I visited the Automobile museum. After that I walked around downtown before going back to my hotel to gamble. I watched Dateline NBC that night until I fell asleep. Day 7- 6/11/07 I said goodbye to Reno today. Yosemite, CA is in my sites. Arriving at Yosemite I couldn’t believe I’d never been there. It was an awesome place. I felt right at home. I checked into my cabin and got a good night sleep.

Day 8- 6/12/07 Today at 11 o’ clock I headed to the stables where I was going to start my four and a half hour journey on horseback. I couldn’t believe how big some of the trees were. Some were even 2,000 years old. The trip saved me my dinner expenses, they provided a dinner when I got back to the stables. I got back to my cabin and called it a night. I would be ready for San Francisco tomorrow. Day 9- 6/13/07 I arrived at San Francisco and checked into the Maxwell hotel for my stay there. Day 10- 6/14/07 Today I had to see all of the sights. I started my day traveling to the golden gate bridge… it was huge. From then I went to the San Francisco Zoo. It wasn’t the biggest zoo I’ve ever been to but it was fun. I ate at Roy’s restaurant. It was an expensive Asian meal. That was a day for me as I hit the sack at the Maxwell. Day 11- 6/15/07 Today I traveled to Redding, CA. I checked into my oxford Suites hotel and then got some sleep before my adventure the next day.

Day 12- 6/16/07 Today I got to the summit of Mt. Shasta at nine o’ clock. I rented my mountain bike and hit the trails. I got to the bottom at noon and then went back to Redding to see the sights to see there. I ate at the Sailing Boat Restaurant and then headed to the Oxford Suites. Day 13- 6/17/07 I hit the road. When I got to Crater Lake I pitched my tent and enjoyed a campfire for the night. Day 14- 6/18/07 Today I took a boat tour around the lake. There is a lot of history on a little lake. I headed to Klamath Falls to eat dinner at the Rocky Point Restaurant. I brought my tent so I could stay in a hotel at Klamath Falls that night. Day 15- 6/19/07 Today I headed for Baker, OR. Once I got to Baker I checked into the Super Eight Motel. It was a cozy little hotel. It had a pool.

Day 16- 6/20/07 Today I went to the End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center. It was very interesting. After that I went to the most expensive restaurant in town, the Phone Company Restaurant. It was nice and elegant. I went to my motel and called it a long day. Day 17- 6/21/07 Today I got an early start on the place I’ve been looking forward to the whole trip. Wallowa Lake. I got here at noon and pitched my tent and spent the day fishing at the lake. After that I lit a fire and relaxed. Day 18- 6/22/07 Today I relaxed again all day. I rode the gondola and fished some more. I also fed the deer. I had to go into town to eat at Joe’s Restaurant. I went to the lake to see all I could until it was too dark so I lit up a fire and relaxed. Day 19 -6/23/07 Today I am heading home. It was a long drive but I made it there.
