Mark Anderson Chris Faris Jeremy Hamilton Stefan Hubbard Jayme Place Current Team Members: Daniel Ruble Doug Webster Clayton Williams Richard Wright TVAIC Program TVAIC is a program allowing business students to gain real world investment experience by managing an equity portfolio of $450,000 on behalf of the TVA Nuclear Decommissioning Trust Fund. The team competes against 25 other universities in the TVA area.


Performance Record UT’s team has won $70,000, the leading money winner in the competition thus far. 3 Year Awards First Place 2001: 80% return First Place 2002: 10% return 1 Year Awards Second Place 2000 First Place 2001 Third Place 2002


Performance Measures If you had invested $1000 with the UT portfolio upon its inception in 1998, you would have $2044. A similar investment in the S&P would have returned $973.

TVAIC’s Contribution to the University The team’s winnings are used to subsidize two student trips each year. Each February, a group of students journey to Omaha to meet with billionaire investor Warren Buffett. Over Fall Break, students speak with financial professionals on Wall Street regarding careers in Finance.
