Premium member Presentation Transcript Slide 1: azaruddin Presentation on training Slide 2: Training is a systematic process of changing the behaviors, knowledge and \or motivation of present employees to improve the match between employee characteristics and employment requirements.” Slide 3: Training is the act of the increasing the knowledge and skill of an employee for doing a particular job. Training needs is an important for new present employee’s . Training is an attempt to improve current or future performance. Areas of training : Areas of training Knowledge: Here the trainee learns about a set of rules and regulations about the job the staff and the products or services offered by the company. The aim is to make the employee fully aware of what goes inside and outside the company. Technical skills: the employee is taught a specific skill (e.g., operating a machine, handling computer etc.) so that he can acquire that skill and contribute meaningfully. Slide 5: Social skills: the employees is made to learn about him and others, and to develop a right mental attitude towards the job, colleagues and the company. The principal focus is on the teaching the employee how to be a team member and get ahead. Techniques: this involves the application and knowledge and skill to various on –the ob situations. Slide 6: Human relations training: this is broad category embracing many different aspects. Self learning and interpersonal competence can be included in this category-all concerned with generally the same theme. This concern and awareness in ones attitudes and behavior are conducive to better work-place relations, but also to enhance productivity. This category of training is oriented towards the development of individual and consequently the organizations efficiency in terms of better team work. Slide 7: Problem solving training: many in company programmers also revolve around organization units’ .like division or branches. Which generally handle a product line. The practice is to call together all managerial personnel in a particular divisions/branch from both the HQ and the field offices and discuss common problems and solutions across the table. This not only help solve problem, but also serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas and information which could be utilized in other situations. Slide 8: Managerial and supervisory training: the managerial job combines both techniques and conceptual knowledge. if it is that of a specialist. It would emphasize some techniques and knowledge like operations, research, finance, production and personnel management. If on the other hand it is a general management job, then the emphasis would be on the principles of scientific management: organizing, planning, staffing, directing and controlling. Slide 9: Apprentice training: the apprentice act 1961 s based on the philosophy of providing some technical training for unskilled people in order that their employment opportunity is enhanced, or alternatively to help them be self employed. Industrial organizations in specified industries are required to train apprentices in proportion to their workforce in designated trades. The duration of training is one to four years IMPORTANCE OF TRAINING : IMPORTANCE OF TRAINING Optimum Utilization of Human Resources – Training and Development helps in optimizing the utilization of human resource that further helps the employee to achieve the organizational goals as well as their individual goals. Slide 11: Development of Human Resources – Training and Development helps to provide an opportunity and broad structure for the development of human resources’ technical and behavioral skills in an organization. It also helps the employees in attaining personal growth. It helps to expand the horizons of human intellect and an overall personality of the employees.
