Shereen Mohamed El Sabagh: 

Background: I have graduated since 1994. my background is international trade. I have joined the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Industry since 1996. I started as data entry for the first two years. After that I participated in the establishment of the central department for the World Trade Organization’s agreements issues CD/WTO. Now I am working as a general manager for one of the general department of the CD/WTO with a staff of 12 persons. My department is called Goods Market Access, which handle 8 of 23 agreements of the WTO Agreements. These agreements deals with trade in goods, tariffs and non-tariff barriers, custom issues, SPS and TBT regulations. Relevant Experience: Worked on increasing awareness of the Egyptian community about the WTO agreements. Set system for preparing Egyptian negotiation proposals on the multilateral basis. Representing Egypt in any meeting for negotiation coordination on the multilateral basis. Head the Egyptian national MA committee, that consider as a coordination forum for all the Egyptian stakeholders. Set the annual action plan for the Goods MA general department. Drawing assessment reports on the implementation of the relevant WTO agreements. Managing and technical assistance programs with international organizations such as FAO, ITC. Establishing an electronic forum for knowledge exchange between Egyptian stakeholders about all issues related to trade in goods under the WTO auspices.
