Medium Term Expenditure Committee (MTEC) Evaluate competing demands on the basis of bids and business plans Evaluate new policies and the expansion of existing outputs, and its impact on indicative allocations Negotiate increase to ‘baseline’ Expected outcome: Prepare new MTEF recommendation for Executive consideration and approval

The funding of sport activities Prime responsibility: Dept of Sport and Recreation Department to determine priorities within MTEF baseline allocation Identify savings and reprioritise Determine activities in line with Government objectives Aim to fund all priorities within baseline allocation Register new policy/activity in national prioritisation processes Costing of requirements and identification of possible sources for funding (existing activities, reprioritisation, budget bids) Develop budget submission and register additional requirements Provide evidence of costing and delivery Reconsider priorities and distribute allocated funds accordingly
