Recycled Glass can be used in All Ceramics Processes:

Recycled Glass can be used in All Ceramics Processes Speeds drying Decreases water needed Speeds firing Lower temperature Saves energy

Glass had to be Imported into CA for most of this Project:

Glass had to be Imported into CA for most of this Project Needed color sorted Pre-processed CA Glass Recycling works great But is skewed toward large processors Which is great for overall percentages, but locks out new uses

Large-scale manufacturing:

Large-scale manufacturing Assume Wholesale price represents jobs created Processor sells to container manufacturer for, say $100 per ton Assume 50% recycled content Container manufacturer sells to wine producer for $500 per ton At $250,000 per job, that’s 500 tons per job

Small scale Manufacturing:

Small scale Manufacturing Tile Manufacturer 5 pounds per square foot 50% recycled glass content Wholesale price $10 per square foot That’s $4000 per ton At $250,000, that’s 62.5 tons per job

Doesn’t Mean It’s Easy Small scale processor we offered on loan Small Recycling Center turned us down “Glass recycling ain’t great, but it’s working okay”:
