Neil Armstrong We did this Project because we have always been fascinated about NASA’s achievementsPast Space Shuttles: Past Space Shuttles Atlantis- 34 missions launched: 1985-2011 Challenger- 10 missions launched: 1983-1986 Apollo- 12 missions launched: 1967-1972 Columbia- 28 missions launched: 1981-2003 Discovery- 37 missions launched: 1984-2011 Endeavour- 25 missions launched: 1992-2011Present and Future: Present and Future Atlas V-401, Pegasus XL, and Taurus II are only three of the space shuttles launching in the future. Atlantis launched its last mission into space at July 8, 2011. Atlantis’ last mission Atlas V-401 Taurus XLNASA’s Proposed Benefits: NASA’s Proposed Benefits NASA once asked a company to fund them by paying for their gasoline. The benefit would be if NASA achieved something during the mission. NASA’s Sponsors provide them with materials for their missions, gas, metal, and even food. Millions of dollars are funded to missions.
