Premium member Presentation Transcript OverDrive : OverDrive Checking out & transferring eBooks to the Kindle Created by Jennifer Boyer and Guinevere Forshey, November 2011 Slide 2: Once you have added the eBook to your cart, you can continue to search for other titles, proceed to checkout, or remove the item Slide 3: Click on the drop down menu if you want to change the lending period for this item, then click Confirm Check Out Slide 4: Click on “Get for Kindle” & Amazon.com will open in a new browser window Slide 5: Choose your device If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to do so first Your title will sync when you connect to wifi Slide 6: If you do not have wifi, you will need to download the title to your computer then transfer via USB Click on Download now… Slide 7: Check your toolbar if the file doesn’t download right away! This dialog box will open Click on save Slide 8: Save your eBook to a location that will be easy to find Save the file Or create a new folder Slide 9: When the download is complete, click “Open Folder” You will see your title here Slide 10: Plug your Kindle into your computer Open the Kindle’s documents folder If the Kindle folder doesn’t open automatically, you can find it under “My Computer” Slide 11: Drag & drop the file from your computer to your Kindle Congratulations!
