Health Carnival Fair Over 150 people screened for cholesterol, blood sugar and dental health >1300 dental kits containing toothbrush, floss, mouthwash and information distributed

Taste of Diversity Bake Sale: 

Taste of Diversity Bake Sale Thank you for your tasty contributions We educated our UCSF community about the variety of ethnic foods available We raised almost $400.00 Recipe cards

Health Disparities Talk: 

Health Disparities Talk Guest Speaker, our very own Dr. Sharon Youmans! Healthcare disparities and the Role of the Pharmacist Part of National Primary Care Week 2006 Tuesday, October 31 5:30-6:30 pm in S-214

Safeway Asthma Clinic: 

Safeway Asthma Clinic Wednesday, November 8 from 1:00-5:00 Table at Portrero Safeway Test people’s lung function and counsel on proper inhaler technique 3 SNPhA members per shift Look out for emails

Immunization Clinics: 

Immunization Clinics St. Anthony’s Free Clinic South of Market Clinic In the process of setting up dates Look out for the sign up sheets in class Great opportunity to practice your immunization skills and counsel underserved patients

High School Outreaches: 

High School Outreaches Mission High School Boys and Girls Club Oakland Tech High School 2 part outreach: Winter and Spring Quarters Exposing students to science and pharmacy Providing information about going to college and the application process Final stages of curriculum development

Winter Quarter: Plan a Health Fair on campus Partnership between the Office of Affirmative Action/SNPhA Spring Quarter: Plan a Health Fair in an underserved area such as the Bayview or Mission District Partnership with ADEA, BHSA, CHEA, LAPS, SNDA, SNMA We encourage members to participate in the planning process to develop organizational and leadership skills.
