1. Korean Youth’s Integrity Indices: 

1. Korean Youth’s Integrity Indices TI-Korea and its local HQs conducted 4 surveys on Korean youth’s perception on corruption in 2001-2005. The purposes of those surveys were to know Korean youth’s perception on corruption and to expose youth’s mindset in relation to corruption. The results demonstrated urgent and necessary need of anti-corruption education for youth in Korea.

1. Korean Youth’s Integrity Indices Results of the first survey was reported on Jan. 2, 2002. Most of media wrote editorials and/or related stories about the urgent need of anti-corruption education for youth generation. TI-Korea had 23 interviews on the topic with media in two days.

Anti-corruption education is the best way to prevent corruption. Without sustainable anti-corruption education, any short-term campaign cannot make real changes in society. We need women’s initiatives for strong anti-corruption education. Anti-corruption education is urgently needed. Earlier, better! YII can be used as a forecast of CPI in 2025~.

Brief Background 2003 – 11th IACC (Youth Forum) Proposed IYNAC (International Youth Network Against Corruption) NCs in the Region are doing youth works. TIAP website 2004 – KYNAC visited Cambodia. Mr. Goh, Mr. Peter Rooke… 2005 – Progress TI-Taiwan, TI-PNG, TI-Korea and others are preparing Youth Works.
