OXBOW LAKE : 

OXBOW LAKE Its formation has taken for more than 100 years . The only oxbow lake which is highly accessible in Malaysia . A hidden jewel that has not been fully developed . Pitifully ,it is neglected and covered with weeds .

Wetland-habitat for migratory birds : 

Wetland-habitat for migratory birds Purple Heron (species of Ardea Purpurea) Shy and reclusive-difficult to spot . * Potential to .Black-capped Kingfisher (species of Halcyon Pileata) . Its powerful red bill snaps up insects, fish ,frogs and excavate its riverbank nest. become BIRD PARK Barn Owl (species of Tyto Alba) Odd and startling appearance-a flat mask . destination .

Spot for doing all kinds of hobbies and activities : 

Spot for doing all kinds of hobbies and activities Vast expanse of paddy field scenery; refreshing and crisp air . Conducive for fishing ,jogging ,bicycling ,kayaking ,riding jet ski . Gazebo ,jogging track ,bicycle track ,pedestrian pathway ,reflexologi garden ,cultural stage ,multi-role court should be developed . *Potential to become RECREATION PARK and NATURAL RESERVE .

Cement Factory Emits waste of construction materials into river .

Irresponsible Residents : 

Irresponsible Residents Sewage waste is pumped untreated into river . “Enjoy” throwing plastics into river .

Algae : 

Algae Caused by chemical fertilizers for agriculture . Massive increase in the growth of algae overwhelms huge areas of Oxbow Lake . Algae removes oxygen from water that kills aquatic lives . Ultimately ,a dead zone is formed .

Legislations are useful in preventing water pollution .The graph shows reported pollution incidents since 1989-1994 .If stronger legislations existed, perhaps these events would never have occurred. :
