She threw caution to the wind when she approached Jesus saying “you [Jesus] have got what it takes to make things happen, don’t spend to long thinking about the wine colour, flavour or taste, just do it.” These people laid hold of the possibility of a miracle. Is this you? These are people when faced with discouraging or disturbing situations, they are spectacularly sad and pathetic because they feel they are being stretched beyond their capabilities-’Hopelessly overstretched’ they may think?- All you hear from them is “I am not structured or resourced to do this” – Theirs is a case of mistaken identity in Christ-It’s like saying I don’t see security with Christ. A rich fruity faith :A rich fruity faith It’s all about the measure of FAITH He Jesus tested her faith saying “why do you involve me?”-sometimes we are faced with bumpy, jumpy chaotic situation when nothing seem to be going according to plan-all we need is a biting passion to passionately slave drive our faith to the limit. Undoubtedly Mary is one of such people. Her good back ground knowledge of Jesus may have given her a vintage point but nevertheless her rich fruity faith is expressed quietly when she said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” A mothers faith tried and tested -This fuelled and propelled the passion in Jesus into doing his first miracle. It is sad to speculate how many great marriages, relationships have gone that same route because they ran out of wine
