Hour Hand The Hour Hand is the SHORTEST hand on your clock face.

Minute Hand The Minute Hand is the LONG hand on the clock!

Hours! 1 8 5 6 7 4 2 3 9 10 11 12 There are 12 HOURS on your clock! When the MINUTE hand is on the 12, then you KNOW that the time is ON the HOUR! The HOUR hand tells you that that the number it is pointing towards is what the HOUR is. This Clock is showing that the time is 3 o’clock!
