FAs are used to identify EDI syntax errors within transactions sent to CBP systems
Generation of the 997 FA is an all or nothing proposition based upon the request of the trading partner
If trading partner chooses not to receive the 997 FAs they may not, under certain circumstances, receive any acknowledgement from ACE
