For the moment the total number of signed partnership agreements is – 53. Annually 500 students and 300 professors participate in exchange programs at partner universities abroad. 150 foreign students study at IKSUR.

Cooperation with the City Administration
There is an agreement between IKSUR and City Administration (Department of Education) concerning training specialist for the city
Annual joint research conferences on the problems of municipal education
Workshops and seminars with the employers
Cooperation with The Baltic Business Club (competition 'Formula of Success')
Representatives of city administration and employers regularly give lectures at IKSUR
The University has well-established links with regional research institutions, industrial and business enterprises and with the local authorities. Scholars from the University have worked with the regional authorities in drafting development strategies for the Kaliningrad region.

Aim

Baltic University Urban Forum
During the period 1999-2002 a total of 35 case studies were conducted in cities, concerned with urban planning, democracy and environmental management (the SUPERBS project).
The Baltic University Urban Forum builds on SUPERBS. It is a cooperation between cities/towns and universities in the Baltic Sea region to promote sustainable development.
In its present phase the BUUF project aims to develop strategies for sustainable development for cities and towns.
