Will be using NIH’s past performance evaluation system Developing proposal to require health care manufacturers to use universal product numbers, mark products with bar code Will reduce supply chain management costs, improve safety and efficiency Barriers to Expanded e-Gov: Barriers to Expanded e-Gov One barrier is lack of interagency funding No one agency is willing to fund projects that cross agency lines Cross-functional projects currently funded by passing the hat Administration and Congress proposing funds, differing amounts If approved, will help expand e-GovBarriers to Expanded e-Gov – Cont.: Barriers to Expanded e-Gov – Cont.
