Objectives of the INTERREG IIIA North priority: 

Objectives of the INTERREG IIIA North priority Balancing the overall development conditions and elimination of development hindrances caused by geographical location through integrating the border regions (on the external border); Strengthening the cross-border relations in various structural fields of activities (on the EU internal border).

Objective of the INTERREG IIIA South priority: 

Objective of the INTERREG IIIA South priority To utilise the cross-border co-operation potential to facilitate the socio-economic development of the cross-border co-operation territory.

Calls for project proposals: 

Calls for project proposals The first Call for proposals was launched on October 1. Altogether 5 Calls for proposals were organised. As all ERDF and Tacis funding allocated for the INTERREG IIIA Priorities North and South has already been committed, no further Calls for Proposals will be organised. Altogether there are 53 projects approved in the INTERREG IIIA Priority South. Altogether there are 46 projects approved in the INTERREG IIIA Priority North.

Topic 2 (people-to-people activities): Facilitation of contacts and networks; Joint training activities; Joint studies.

North Priority outputs and results: 

North Priority outputs and results 13 projects establish cross-border networks comprising regional and/or local authorities; 13 projects develop joint development strategies; 6 projects develop cross-border services for the joint provision by municipalities; At least 35 joint activities carried in the fields of social and cultural affairs; 400 persons trained; 13 projects develop example solutions to existing problems in environment protection and resource management; 10 projects in tourism, transport, and border-related infrastructure include investments; 5 projects develop cross-border tourism development services.

South Priority outputs and results: 

South Priority outputs and results 7 projects establish cross-border infrastructure objects; 8 projects develop cross-border tourism products; 17 projects design marketing, tourism and public services development strategies; In 8 projects the follow-up projects are expected; 5 projects develop new businesses along the transit corridors; 13 projects establish cross-border contacts/ networks; At least 200 people participate in seminars, training; 4 projects develop cross-border services; 7 projects carry out cross-border cultural, social events.
