In Pakistan Violence against Women, in almostevery form, is on the rise. A woman was raped every two hours somewhere in the country, while hundreds became victims of honor's killings, domestic violence which includes physical and mental abuse, burnings, murder and acid throwing. : Violence against women is a crime against humanity. Women are unsafe even within their homes, reports of incidents of harassment at the workplace came in more frequently than before, even as laws continued to discriminate against women and their role in the public sphere remained marginalized. To eradicate this crime from our society,Working Women Organization is organizingcampaign of "Sixteen Days Activism Against Gender Violence", started from 25th November to December 10th, 2004. : To eradicate this crime from our society, Working Women Organization is organizing campaign of "Sixteen Days Activism Against Gender Violence", started from 25th November to December 10th, 2004. This campaign will be use as an organizing strategy by individuals and organizations to call for the elimination of all forms of violence against women and recognizing that violence against women is a manifestation of historically unequal power relations between men and women, which have led to dominate over and discrimination against women by men. Through this campaign we also aware and motivate people to understand that social,cultural and religious factors could not be invoked as a justification for violating the human rights of women.: This campaign will be use as an organizing strategy by individuals and organizations to call for the elimination of all forms of violence against women and recognizing that violence against women is a manifestation of historically unequal power relations between men and women, which have led to dominate over and discrimination against women by men. Through this campaign we also aware and motivate people to understand that social,cultural and religious factors could not be invoked as a justification for violating the human rights of women.
