The Port of Gioia Tauro : The Port of Gioia Tauro 8 The port of Gioia Tauro is the most important transhipment point of Mediterranean Sea.
With more than 3 Million of Teus moved in 2004, it’s the 5th port in Europe. The 100% of LD Group traffic by sea has the main transit point in the Port of Gioia Tauro. More than 50% of goods managed by LD Group arrives from China and Far East. LD Group has a consolidated presence inside this port with a partecipated company, called INLOG s.r.l. This cooperation let LD control directly all inbound products, offering its Customers the chance to store products in a bonded warehouse. Whether your shipment is crossing one border or several, LD’s team of licensed customs brokers ensures your shipments are accurately classified, properly valued and expedited through Customs. Our acquisition of INLOG allows us to provide clients with an ideal customs and trade compliance mix, adding to the cross-border logistics component of our global solutions.

This special service let customers store goods avoiding to pay duty and tax until final customs clearance. Normally, using this kind of
service the customer can save a good
percentage of money during the year
(in terms of financial duties).

Pharmaceutical Lab : Pharmaceutical Lab Due to its customers’ increasing needs, LD specialised in pharmaceutical logistics by creating an ad hoc system and dedicating technical structure and vanguard resources, in order to let them achieve several aims:
· managing greater volumes, enjoying economies of scale,
· reducing the movement of products, decreasing internal costs,
· improving performance efficiency,
· respecting lead time,
· Every installation inside is completely electronic, boasting anti-dust floors, burglar alarms with closed-circuit TV and refrigerators, it has security systems in accordance with existing laws. The logistic service for pharmaceutical companies deals with:
- computerised registration of orders through a management system (SAP, AS400 etc.)
- storage in warehouses of pharmaceutical material delivered by suppliers with full customs service from non EU products
- a total quality control on incoming products (packaging, documentation, quantity, type etc.)
- an incoming service – with bar coding and automatic control of leasing,
- a system of an electronic picking of materials and preparation of orders, with automatic unloading,
- a strict control of stock with pre-alerting of delivery,
- a despatch of delivery documentation including invoicing,
- distribution throughout the national territory with satellite control on means of transportation,

I.T. Lab : I.T. Lab LD Group built its 1.500 sqm IT laboratory in order to offer its high-tech customers full and updated services:
HW and SW customization, testing, delivery, installation on site, withdrawal and refurbishing or scrapping of personal computers, servers, laptops, etc.., last but not least help desk services.
This lab can currently manage more than 70 workstations working on multitasking projects simultaneously.
In the same location we manage warehousing to offer a complete Logistics Chain Management. LD can plan, administer, maintain strong local and wide area network with its main customers. LD Group offers global logistics technologies that facilitate supply chain management by offering a seamless on-line communication network between suppliers, carriers, regulatory agencies, warehouse facilities.
