Stanley, Vice President of Engineering General Electric Transportation A graduate of The University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Rick joined GE Aircraft Engines in 1980. With GE, he pursued his Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and is a graduate of GE’s Advanced Engineering Program. During his career, he has held numerous assignments in turbomachinery blade, rotor, structures and combustion design and systems engineering. He has participated on many GEAE product designs, including the F110, F120, CF34, CF6, GE90, T700, and F404 engines. In 2003, Rick was elected an officer of General Electric and promoted to his current role as Vice President and General Manager of the Engineering Division, with responsibilities for all research, development, technology, product design and services engineering activities. He has been awarded five patents, and is a member of the Engineering college advisory boards for Notre Dame, Ohio State and the University of Cincinnati.
