This is an up-to-date tutorial on how I do my foundation, plus how I contour and highlight. For more detailed information on contouring and highlighting, check out my blog: www.cynthias-makeup.blogspot.com

1) Always begin with a clean, moisturized face. Apply a face primer if you want to. :

1) Always begin with a clean, moisturized face. Apply a face primer if you want to. I stopped using a face primer and have found that my foundation lasts just fine, plus my pores are so large that a primer doesn’t do much to conceal them anyway!

2) Apply your foundation. I pour some onto the back of my hand, dip my foundation brush into it, dab it all over my face and blend it in as much as I can with the foundation brush. :

4) To contour, I dip a concealer brush into a brown cream product and draw it in the areas I want to contour. Under the cheekbones, the temples, the sides of the nose, the jawline, under the lower lip

Then, I use a small, clean powder brush and buff the product until it’s blended, and I set it by buffing a mineral powder that’s several shades darker than my skin tone over it. :

Then, I use a small, clean powder brush and buff the product until it’s blended, and I set it by buffing a mineral powder that’s several shades darker than my skin tone over it. Typically, I do this in lieu of bronzer because contouring with bronzer can leave you with an orangey look.

5) To highlight, I use the same method but I use an icy pink cream product set with a mineral glow powder. :

7) Next, I blush to the apples of my cheeks and blend back towards my hairline.I forgot to take a photo of this step so I used one from a different tutorial! :
