1) Work a small amount of a hair wax or pomade through your hair. :

2) Taking the section of hair at the crown, tease it slightly, then twist it until around and up so that the ends are pointing up and out. Pin it as necessary with bobby pins. :

3) Take the section directly beneath the one you just pinned, and repeat the same process. :

4) Take your side section, tease slightly, then twist it back to meet the other twists, making sure the ends are up and out. Repeat on the other side. :

5) Tease and twist up the remaining hair underneath, pinning it up where the other twists are. :

6) To finish the look, fan the ends out, tease them slightly and mist with a firm hold hairspray. :
