Takes something old and makes it new Process for adapting to new circumstances Improves what you have What is the Innovative Leadership Project? : What is the Innovative Leadership Project? It’s a seven-month leadership development process for local church teams It teaches teams how to generate ideas and to develop growth strategies It has a congregational development mindset: It looks at the whole system of the congregation and how it connects to its members and the people who live in the community where the church is locatedThe challenge facing the church: The challenge facing the church The issue most churches are facing is how to cope with the constant change that is shaping their communities and the society as a whole. Most churches want to change but do not know how to do so. They are using models and strategies that do not take into account what they already have to offer that is of value to people around them. Rather then trying to fix what is wrong, they need to grow into what is right – living their faith in Jesus Christ in a way that draws people into an experience of grace.Slide 5: Leadership Worship Small Groups Outreach Stewardship EducationSlide 6: The Innovative Leadership Project ProcessSlide 7: The Innovative Leadership Project ProcessSlide 8: The Innovative Leadership Project ProcessSlide 9: The Innovative Leadership Project Process What makes the ILP Different: What makes the ILP Different Assessment First Congregational Survey is taken by selected members of the church Results show areas where the church needs to improve Church focuses its resources on fixing the areas that need improvement Team First A leadership team made up of the pastor, key staff, and laity commit to learn, pray, and work together for 7-months The team learns a set of tools for putting plans into action and for developing the spiritual life of its leaders The team takes an assessment of its ministries and uses the tools it has learned to develop and implement successful strategies You do not have the permission to view this presentation.
