Presentation Description

Also known as cannabidiol, CBD is a chemical compound found naturally in the cannabis plant. It contains untraceable amounts of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the main psychoactive element in marijuana meaning that CBD will NOT get you “high.” You will also not fail any drug tests since these tests do not detect such low levels of THC. Over the past four decades, there have been numerous studies about CBD and its array of potential health benefits and medical aid. CBD oil is derived from industrial hemp and is technically described as a food supplement. It can be consumed by itself or added to food or drink. Some scientific studies confirm that CBD oil may help treat a variety of ailments like anxiety and chronic pain.

IS CBD A GREAT OPTION AS A PTSD TREATMENT The Sidran Institute found that 70% of U.S. adults have experienced a traumatic event at least once in life. Most deal with the resulting stress and anxiety and move on without any long-term effects. But at least one in five develops post-traumatic stress disorder and needs PTSD treatment. Discussions often center around military veterans, but PTSD can develop after any trauma. Facing assault, abuse, accidents, medical problems and natural disasters can result in PTSD. Trauma happens to everyday people all the time.
