Copy of feature for PDK/Hawaii newsletter on PDK Contact Person for Lab School Editor's note: This new feature seeks to highlight those institutions which have PDK Institutional Memberships and their PDK contact person. This first edition features Ms. Miki Tomita, UH Lab School PDK Contact. Aloha! My name is Miki Tomita, and I am currently serving as the Lab School/PDK liaison. Although technically still in the midst of my studies at Stanford University, I'm back at the Lab School this school year to collect data for my dissertation while teaching 6th grade science. As the PDK contact person for the school, general PDK announcements get sent to me and I send out a short note of what publications are currently available for our Lab School faculty and staff to browse. I've been an individual member of PDK since I began teaching here at the Lab School in 2001, and believe that an institutional membership can provide a wonderful professional development opportunity for all faculty and staff...without the individual expense, of course! Miki Tomita
