The abstract submitted must relate to the Final Year Undergraduate/Postgraduate project in the areas outlined in the Topics section. The 1st author (FYP student) must have his/her supervisor as a 2nd author. To register, please return the completed registration form which can be downloaded from our official COMET website : www.geocities.com/comet08_sme Abstract submission for judges’ evaluation is free of charge. The abstract( not longer than 300 words) submitted must not be published before. The abstract and registration form have to be certified by a Faculty Member/Head of Department. Each participant must submit the registration form and paper abstract to the COMET Organising Committee via email to comet08_sme@yahoo.com or mail to our official mailing address before the 15th of October 2007. Notification of abstract acceptance will be made directly in written form from the 30th of October 2007 onwards. Upon acceptance of paper abstract, participants will be required to send in the full paper to the COMET Organizing Committee by the 30th of November 2007 together with the registration payment. Notification of final acceptance of paper for oral presentation or poster presentation will be made directly in written form from the 30th of December onwards. Full details on the full paper submission will be provided in the notification of abstract acceptance. PROGRAMME THEME Exceeding Borders of technology OBJECTIVE REGISTRATION FEES WHAT IS COMET COMET, the Conference on Manufacturing and Electronic Technology is a national level conference involving 300 people comprising of undergraduates/postgraduates, lecturers, corporate figures and industry practitioners from all over the country. COMET will be based on the paper presentation of undergraduates and postgraduates, keynote speaking sessions by prominent figures in the manufacturing and electronic industry and a poster’s exhibition. Besides that, a conference banquet filled with interesting and beneficial programmes will be held.
