The Festival at a Glance: The Festival at a Glance The Event :
The La Jolla Festival of the Arts will feature 190 award-winning artists, cuisine from some of San Diego’s favorite restaurants and live entertainment throughout the weekend. The Festival is scheduled to take place Saturday and Sunday, June 24th and 25th, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the University of California San Diego’s East campus facility, located at the corner of Genesee Avenue and Regents Road. Admission is $10 for adults and free for children under 10, with proceeds benefiting adaptive programs for people with disabilities in San Diego County. No pets allowed except certified assistance dogs.
Demographics:
12,000 adults and children attend the event; 64% have incomes over $75k; 59% attend with spouse/companion; 95% are over age 31 with 59% over age 46; and 82% of attendees make a purchase.

Something Fun for Everyone: Something Fun for Everyone
Art: Artists from the San Diego area, California & throughout the nation will display a wide variety of award winning artwork. Annually, over 400 artists apply to obtain the 190 spots available at the Festival.
Entertainment: A variety of excellent musicians perform throughout the weekend, including local and national artists. Taylor Guitars sponsors artists scheduled on the main stage, and you will also enjoy musical entertainment as you stroll through the Festival.
Food Court: A variety of foods from some of San Diego’s favorite restaurateurs will be available. Enjoy your favorite cuisine as you listen to entertainment in the main stage area..
Children’s Area: Hands-on arts and crafts activities will be available for children, as well as an inflatable jump and other entertainment.
The Festival Store: Visit the Festival Store to purchase this year’s poster, T-shirt, tote bag and other souvenirs. Also view our special display celebrating 20 years of Festival posters!

Getting the Word Out: Getting the Word Out The La Jolla Festival of the Arts employs a comprehensive marketing & communications program:
Paid Advertising -- Through media outlets including the San Diego Union-Tribune, The Reader, La Jolla Light and select radio and television partners.
Publicity -- Includes regional and local publicity in the weeks up to the Festival. Spear/Hall Advertising & Public Relations coordinates a comprehensive promotional plan including print, radio and video news releases designed for San Diego media exposure.
Mailers & Statement Stuffers -- Each year, 67,000 promotional flyers are printed and distributed through: San Diego Volvo,
Time Warner Cable TV, Henry’s Marketplace, Longs Drug Stores, San Diego Volvo, the San Diego Blood Bank and our beneficiaries.
Non-Profit Communications – Featuring event and partner promotion through Kiwanis and non-profit partner publications.
Cooperative Advertising - Promotional banners on pedestrian over-passes above La Jolla Village Drive and Genesee Avenue, projecting weekly exposure visibility to 250,000 cars and 500,000 people.
Cooperative Marketing -- Promoting attendance through visitor, convention & travel associations & informational materials.
On-Site Program -- 5,000 four-color programs distributed at the Festival inside the full run of Coastal Newspaper Group, including La Jolla Light, Del Mar Times, Solana Beach Sun, Carmel Valley Leader and Rancho Santa Fe Record.
