LAT EQUIPMENT EMI REQUIREMENTS:

LAT EQUIPMENT EMI REQUIREMENTS PART TWO CONDUCTED EMISSIONS AND SUSCEPTIBILITY

DEFINITIONS:

DEFINITIONS A – LAT TO SPACECRAFT INTERFACE (REQUIREMENT) B – INPUT TO THE TPS, EPU, GASU; PDU INTERNAL POST FILTER (REQUIREMENT) C – EQUIPMENT POST FILTER LEVEL (REFERENCE ONLY)

CE102 LAT DAQ B:

CE102 LAT DAQ B

CE102 LAT DAQ B:

CE102 LAT DAQ B 21 units; 19 ~ equal power draw RSS emissions from 21 units All equipment emitting 14 dB below the LAT instrument level limit will be equivalent to the LAT DAQ A limit EMI filter provides 40 dB minimum from 100K - 50MHz Therefore, increase limit by 26 dB from 100K - 10MHz

CE102 LAT DAQ C:

CE102 LAT DAQ C

CE102 LAT DAQ C:

CE102 LAT DAQ C EMI filter provides 40 dB minimum from 150K - 50MHz Therefore, increase the LAT DAQ B limit by 40 dB from 150K - 10MHz This is a reference level only

CE102 LAT SIU A:

CE102 LAT SIU C:

CE102 LAT SIU C EMI filter provides 40 dB minimum from 150K - 50MHz Therefore, increase limit by 40 dB This is a reference level only

CECM LAT:

CECM LAT Applicable to all units; Figure 17 from the 0005 document Grounding techniques employed by the LAT negates the necessity to apportion contributions from all units

CS102 LAT DAQ B:

CS102 LAT DAQ B

CS102 LAT DAQ B:

CS102 LAT DAQ B EMI filter provides 40 dB minimum from 100K - 50MHz Therefore, decrease CS102 LAT DAQ A limit by 34 dB, allowing for a 6 dB margin; from 100K to 10MHz

CS102 LAT DAQ C:

CS102 LAT DAQ C There is no reference level for LAT DAQ C EMI filter provides 40 dB minimum from 150K - 50MHz Therefore, decreasing CS102 LAT DAQ B by 34 dB would provide a physically unrealizable limit (below 0.0 amps)

CS102 LAT SIU A:

DEFINITION - OPERATE:

DEFINITION - OPERATE Operate is defined as the ability to withstand the applied environment without malfunction, loss of capability, change of operation state/mode, memory changes or need for outside intervention. Operate is the ability of an instrument to execute all ancillary and housekeeping tasks including self test but does not include the ability to take scientific data.

CS06 LAT OPERATE:

CS06 LAT OPERATE

DEFINITION - PERFORM:

DEFINITION - PERFORM Perform is defined as the ability to execute its science mission or to meet its specified performance. Perform requires that the Operate criteria be met.

CS06 LAT PERFORM:

CS06 LAT PERFORM

DEFINITION – SURVIVE:

DEFINITION – SURVIVE Survive is defined as the ability to withstand the applied environment without any permanent loss of performance capability. Survival is required for both powered and unpowered states.

CS06 LAT SURVIVE:

CS06 LAT SURVIVE Still TBS in the 0005 document This survive relates directly to a fuse blow scenario (fuse, solid state breaker, polyswitch) Results from the fusing study should allow SAI to complete this requirement for the instruments and the spacecraft
