Premium member Presentation Transcript WeLCOMe & JAi SWaMiNaRaYaN: WeLCOMe & JAi SWaMiNaRaYaNProminent Satsangis: Prominent Satsangis Dada Khachar Dada Khachar- VS Posh Sud 6th 1857 - 1909: Dada Khachar- VS Posh Sud 6th 1857 - 1909 Probably the best known satsangi with utmost single-minded devotion to Lord Swaminarayan …but how did his family become satsangis in the first placeFirst Darshan: First Darshan Ebhel Sinh was a devout satsangi of Lord Krishna Mancha Khachar a close friend of Ebhel, knew Lord as Almighty God and when they met in Sardhar he invited Him to come to Kariyani Mancha bhagat told Ebhel of the Lord’s presence on earth and invited Ebhel’s family to Kariyani for darshan Ebhel duly recognised Lord’s greatness and invited Him to Gadhada Lord first came to Gadhada on vs Magsar sud 11th 1861 Ebhel henceforth asked the Lord to remain at GadhadaDada Khachar’s Family: Dada Khachar’s FamilyDada takes the reign 1: Dada takes the reign 1 Ebhel bapa falls ill. Due to strong affection between the Lord and Ebhel, Lord insists that Ebhel makes a last request. Ebhel asks Lord to look after Dada as his own. Ebhel passes away on vs Kartik vad 5th 1870. Dada is only 12 years old. Lord wants to test Dada’s love for him. On the day of the funeral He calls Dada, Jivuba & Laduba. He announces that He is leaving since Ebhel has passed away. Dada pleads for the Lord to stay. Lord says He will only stay if Dada signs over the whole estate to Him !!! Dada’s test 2: Dada’s test 2 Dada without hesitation calls for paper and signs over the whole kingdom. Lord says ‘now that Gadhada is mine, I request your family to leave before sunrise tomorrow and go to a place where Swaminarayan is not known’. Dada replies ‘as you please Maharaj’. Next day, before sunrise Lord shows His impatience and taunts Dada. ‘What are you waiting for? Why don’t you say you want to stay here and that it was a mistake to sign over the deeds !!’ ‘No Maharaj’, replies Dada, ‘we are leaving’.Dada’s test 3: Dada’s test 3 At the outskirts of Gadhada, they rested and bathed at Radha vav (well). By now (day after funeral) news of Ebhel’s death reached surrounding towns and villages. People come to Gadhpur to pay respect. Sura Khachar (Loya) arrives and learns that Lord has evicted Ebhel’s family. Sura Khachar is very distraught. Lord asks ‘why?’ Sura replies ‘it is not because Ebhel has died but I am very concerned after young Dada’s welfare, and where will all the ladies take shelter?’Dada’s test 4: Dada’s test 4 Sura Khachar adds ‘I am not asking you to give back the kingdom, but at least keep them as servants’. Lord promptly asks Ladha Thakkar to fetch Dada… Lord tells Dada ‘I have not asked you to return to give back your kingdom, but to say that if you want your kingdom ask for it, or make out a permanent deed on copper plate since paper is easily torn’. Dada replies ‘how can you doubt that that I will not do as you ask, Maharaj?’ ………. Lord runs to Dada and picks him up and hugs him lovinglyListen to an extract of this katha ….. : Listen to an extract of this katha ….. ….agni parikshaMany many stories …: Many many stories … There are many such examples of devotion by Dada Khachar and his sisters Jivuba and Laduba Lord drinking milk from Jivuba during thal offering to Murti of Lord. (Jivuba was incarnation of Laxmi) Laduba was incarnation of Radhikaji Such was the Lord’s affection that He went on Dada’s wedding procession (jaan) along with all the santos for the marriage to Jasubai… Listen to parts of songs depicting this….: Listen to parts of songs depicting this…. ___”Shreeji Maharaj parnlavo…” Jasubai is asked by the Lord to ask for something… she makes the most of it… and bursts into song… ___”Mari avichad chunkane rakhjo…” … may santos remain for ever at Dada’s Darbar … may all our wealth be used for your purposes … may we forever keep your image in our hearts … may you build a large Temple here and install your murti … bless me with two sons, keep Dada happy and retain parivar … take me to Akshardham before Dada Slide13: Of course, one must not forget the numerous Vachnamrut sabhas held in Dada Khachar’s Darbar Slide14: Questions?
