The Origins of Rock: 

The Origins of Rock Rock n’ Roll sound came out of African-American culture and the Blues, with artists such as Robert Johnson and Leadbelly up to Muddy Waters. Chuck Berry and Elvis Presley pioneered the sound of rock in the 1950’s, using electric guitars and youth-oriented lyrics. Also comes the 'British Invasion.'
