Research: 

Research Research is in progress and results of recent research is helping guide treatment providers in all areas of service delivery by providing keys to evidence based treatment protocols and helping to reveal the various indicators for suicide. Example: Targeted form of CBT

Cognitive Behavior Therapy: 

Cognitive Behavior Therapy Recent suicide attempters treated with cognitive therapy were 50% less likely to try to kill themselves again within 18 months than those who did not receive the therapy, report researchers supported by the NIMH and the CDC. A targeted form of CBT designed to prevent suicide proved better at lifting depression and feelings of hopelessness than TAU.
