What is Nature:

The words nature and natural are used for all the things that are normally not made by humans. Things like weather, organisms, landforms, celestial bodies and much more are part of nature. Scientists study the way the parts of nature work. Things that have been made by people are said to be man-made or called artifacts. There are natural sciences that study different parts of nature, for example the science of ecology is about plants and animals as a whole, while biology studies every type of living thing. What is Nature

Slide 4:

From one point of view, humans are a prime example of nature, and are the most widely studied natural inhabitants of the planet earth. Humans interact with each other in their natural environment on a constant basis. Every part of nature – everything from the air to the dirt on the ground – is interdependent. Medicine studies humans in health and sickness. From another point of view, humans and nature can be said to be in conflict. Nature is often seen by humans as natural resources.

Slide 5:

People cut down trees to get wood to burn, to build houses, or to make a place to grow food. Fires, cars, and factories make a lot of smoke and harm many places. People who like to leave nature unharmed and those who feel they need to use more of nature often fight about what they should do. In the modern world, with many more people and many big cities, these problems are becoming more serious. Nature, in the broadest sense, means the physical world as a whole. This is the meaning that physics, the study of nature (etymologically), takes.

Slide 7:

Science wants to understand nature. Therefore it is important, how the word  nature  is defined:  Nature is everything that was not made by man . So the definition of nature excludes all things that where introduced by mankind. All those human developments are summarized as  culture . The definition of nature summarizes  natural objects , e.g. STONES ANIMALS PLANTS It also reflects on  events in nature  like THE WIND THE RAIN EARTHQUAKES FOOD Nature can be divided in a living and a not living (abiotic) part.

Slide 8:

LIVING NATURE The living part of nature consist of all life on earth. PLANTS ANIMALS MUSHROOMS BACTERIA HUMANS ABIOTIC NATURE The abiotic part of nature consist of all things, that were not made by man and are not living. You can count to it: THE OUTER SPACE NOT LIVING OBJECTS ON EARTH ( stones, water, air etc)

IMPORTANCE OF NATURE Importance of nature, it’s not so much that humanity has destroyed a large part of the natural world and withdrawn from the remainder. We have also expelled it needlessly from our daily lives. Today, the number of people living in urban areas has passed the number living in rural areas. Simultaneously, the home range of each person on average, the area traversed on a regular basis, is declining steadily.

Slide 13:

In the cities we do not grow our own food or hunt for it. Mostly, we pick it up at a market and have little idea of its origin. Our eyes are fastened upon the digitized images of screens. Even the images of nature we see are those of remote places, taken by other people. No matter, we say—the city sustains us, and we are happy. But so are cattle in a feedlot. They are provided with the essentials of maintenance but can never live the lives true to their species and the epic million year evolution that put them on Earth. They cannot visit the habitat in which they were born .

Slide 15:

Nature has some powerful transformative power which changes our mood and behaviour accordingly. Nature has power to recover the patients from their diseases if they are provided with the required and pleasant environment. Nature is very essential for our healthy life so we should keep it clean and conserve it for our future generations. We should cut trees and forests, should not despoil the ocean, rivers, should not make hole in ozone layer, should not increase green house effect, global warming and many more through our selfish activities. We should get fully aware about our nature and try our best to keep it natural so that it can nourish life on the earth forever.
