All of them were really frustrated due to the pressure of work and the demands of their boss but everyone was loyal to him and did not think of quitting the job. One day, one scientist came to his boss and told him - Sir, I have promised to my children that I will take them to the exhibition going on in our township. So I want to leave the office at 5 30 pm. His boss replied "OK, You're permitted to leave the office early today". The Scientist started working. As usual he got involved to such an extent that he looked at his watch when he felt he was close to completion. The time was 8.30 PM. Criticism faced: Criticism faced Many of his peers have criticized him for bombastic statements . They have questioned both his scientific and intellectual acumen. Or have scoffed that all his doctoral degrees are honorary. Many believe that A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s larger than life image is the fruit of self-promotion, audacious political opportunism and pumped-up nationalism, combined with the ignorance of an uncritical media. They are of the opinion that in a nation thirsting for heroes, the question marks have been airbrushed out of the frame by so called “inspiring” speeches and “motivational” books Two prominent nuclear scientists have stood up to question Kalam’s clean chit to the “Pokhran II” tests. They believe that the yield was lower than what was claimed, and was certainly not what was desired. Slide 14: BOOKS BY – A.P.J. The launch was at 7:00 am, and the press conference@ 7.45am Prof. Dhawan, the leader of the organization, conducted the press conference himself. He took responsibility for the failure .. Apj was the project director and it was his failure, but instead, Prof. Dhawan took responsibility for the failure as chairman of the organization. The next year, in July 1980, they tried again to launch the satellite -- and this time we succeeded. The whole nation was jubilant. Again, there was a press conference.
