Slide3 : Introduction The Hungarian aeronautics was born together with the world aviation
It was strong during war periods.
It was completely destroyed after wars.
Since 2003, we are working hard on reestablishing
the Hungarian Aeronautics.
Six foreign companies (GEES, Lufthansa Technics, Alcoa, Sulzer Metco, Flamespray, Elektrometall) have established plants in Hungary,
By now, the Hungarian aeronautics has a lot of new
scientific and technology results.
It is time to fully integrate the Hungarian aeronautics into the European aerospace industry.
Slide4 : 1. Hungarian Aeronautics The Hungarian aviation was born at Rákosmező, Budapest.
The first successful flights of Hungarian designed aircraft were flown by Adorjan at end of 1909 and in January of 1910.
During I. World War, 5 000 workers produced aircraft in 3 factories on the land now belongs to Hungary.
In 1912, Aladár Zsélyi and Tibor Melczer designed the aircraft 34 seats with engines of 500 hps that was called by them Aerobus(!).
Experience of Zsélyi with gas turbines (1912-13) Aircraft Struc II. of Adorjan
Slide5 : 1. Hungarian Aeronautics – cont’d. I. There are many Hungarian (or Hungarian origin) leaders in world aeronautics and aviation.

Slide20 : Proposal title: In-flight emergency situation assessment
Project description: the accident is the result of the 3 – 5 (principally independent) serious, so called common failures and errors.
The technical possibilities of the emergency situation handling trend to their limits. (The radically new technical solutions like application of the MEMS technology may play role in future.) However the managing with emergency situations after signalisation of the anomalies in the operation or detection of the earlier phase of accident appearing, can give a powerful method for avoiding the accident situations. The simple idea is the detection of the earlier phase of emergency situation and applying the special rules for avoiding the developing accident situation. The in-flight emergency situation assessment includes the rules and technologies must be applied after detection of the anomalies in the operation system, or earlier phase of accident situation by crew, technical supporting, air controllers, etc.
Novelty: - development of the new approach to the flight accident evaluation,
- development of a new emergency situation assessment technologies or manuals
- evaluation of newly developed in-flight emergency management assessment if flight experiences. 5. Recommended projects - cont’d. III.

Slide24 : Proposal title: Surface Morphing Method for Wing Optimisation
Project description: A new inverse design based optimisation method is intending to be developed for wings to keep expected flight characteristics. The surface morphing method is enable an aircraft to alter its wing shape to optimise performances.
The project is based on the existing in-house time-accurate Euler and Navier-Stokes solvers. The procedure starts with a detailed investigation of the effect of solid wall on flow distortion, by which the strong relation is appeared between the global flow parameters (e.g. friction force, lift, drag) and pressure or Mach number distribution over the solid wall. Completing the shape optimisation of the distributions by means of the expected global flow parameter, the inverse method can directly be applied to recover geometry, which belongs to optimum Mach number or pressure distribution.
Novelty:
− The optimization method is used for surface morphing.
− A new optimization method is developed.
− The optimization is based on the effect of solid wall on flow distortion.
− The procedure makes the inverse design intuitively free.
− The viscous inverse design method is extended for external flows. 5. Recommended projects - cont’d. VII.
