What is ISO 9001:2008?

ISO 9001:2008 : 

ISO 9001:2008 “ISO” refers to the International Organization for Standardization. ISO establishes common worldwide standards. IOS?? ISO was derived from the Greek word isos meaning equal.

ISO 9001:2008 : 

ISO 9001:2008 2008 is the year the latest version was approved for release. The 2008 revision was released on 11/15/08. 9001 is a standard focused on Quality Management Systems.
