yes all gurus teaching are important as you mentioned guru nanak passed on to lehna (guru angad dev ji) and son on..So the light prevading in all gurus is of Guru Nanak only but changed humanly form as this physical body has a limit to survive..

Before he died, Guru Nanak appointed his disciple Lehna to become the next Guru of the Sikh community. He gave Lehna the name `Angad` which means `my limb` or `part of me`. This was to show that he had the same spirit as Nanak. There were 10 Gurus altogether. Sikhs believe that they are all equally important as messengers of God.
