BEAUTIFUL BRAZIL For hundreds of years, Brazil has symbolized the great escape into a primordial, tropical paradise, igniting the Western imagination like no other South American country. From the mad passion of Carnival to the immensity of the dark Amazon, it is a country of mythic proportions. Perhaps it's not quite the Eden of popular imagination, but it's still a land of staggering beauty. There are stretches of unexplored rainforest, islands with pristine tropical beaches, and endless rivers. And there are the people themselves, who delight the visitor with their energy and joy.

The quieter beaches tend to be found towards the island's northwestern coastline, while the greatest concentration of hotels, shops and restaurants is located around Patong and stretches south towards Karon and Kata.

OCEAN DEEP THAILAND PHUKET:

OCEAN DEEP THAILAND PHUKET Unfortunately, parts of Phi Phi suffered a lot of damage due to the tsunami and while recovery is well under way, it will take a little more time before many of the businesses and visitors return. The name Phi Phi actually refers to two islands, Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh. There are six islands in the Phi Phi island group; Phi Phi Don, Phi Phi Leh, Biddah Nok, Biddah Nai, Yung and Pai. These form a total area of about 35 square kilometres. In 1983, they were incorporated into Had Noppharat Thara - Mu Koh Phi Phi National Park.

BANGKOK:

BANGKOK Bangkok is the capital city of the Kingdom of Thailand, a constitutional monarchy since 1932. The official name of the city is “Krung Thep”, which means The City of Angels; Bangkok is a name given to it by Westerners and is probably a corruption of the town’s old name “Ban Makok”, Village of Olives. Bangkok succeeded the earlier royal cities of Sukkothai and Ayutthaya and has been the center for government and culture as well as the seat of The Royal House. Bangkok is also Thailand’s center for international commerce while many of the traditional industries, such as food preparation, silk factories, sawmills and paper works are mostly located along the banks of the Chao Phraya river and the city’s outskirts.

Slide30:

SINGAPORE

Singapore:

Singapore Singapore has traded in its rough-and-ready opium dens and pearl luggers for towers of concrete and glass, and its steamy rickshaw image for hi-tech wizardry, but you can still recapture the colonial era with a Singapore Sling under the languorous ceiling fans at Raffles Hotel.

Singapore :

Singapore At first glance, Singapore appears shockingly modern and anonymous, but this is an undeniably Asian city with Chinese, Malay and Indian traditions from feng shui to ancestor worship creating part of the everyday landscape. It's these contrasts that bring the city to life.

BALI - Denpasar Denpasar means "north of the market", the largest city in the island is the capital city of Bali. Denpasar is village city with an aristocratic past. The city has absorbed neighboring villages, rice paddies, and acquired a modern image. Denpasar past role as royal capital of the kingdom Badung ended in 1906 after the suicidal battle between the king of Badung and the Dutch. A monument to this event stands on Puputan square a large open square adjoining Denpasar main street, Gajah Mada street. At the northwest corner of Puputan square ( Denpasar main intersection ) stands the great statue with four faces and eight arms, it was built 1972 as a secular monument to commemorate the battle, though it's imagery symbolizes Hindu concept

BALI :

BALI This temple sits on a very small island off the south-west coast of Bali. It's less than 100 meters from the coast. It's so crammed with temples and pagodas and banners that it appears to be a boat full of happy revellers. I'm not sure how people get to it, but I'm sure it's not particularly easy -- which is part of the point. Tanah Lot Temple Bedugul When the heat and humidity finally get to you, it's time to get away to Bedugul, Bali's highland retreat,  tucked into the crater of an extinct volcano, 1400 metres above sea level. The three lakes of the area provide the water for the fields, rivers and springs on the plains below. Lush pine forests make for clean air. The area is renowned for its fruit and vegetables.

ARGENTINA:

ARGENTINA This is one Latin American country where Europeans and North Americans can feel at ease and travel relatively inconspicuously. An interest in soccer and some nimble foot skills may be all you need to feel like a local.

ARGENTINA:

ARGENTINA Despite Argentina's recent economic woes, its pleasures - stunning natural wonders, an elegant capital with a European-flavoured sophistication, and a passionate culture - are still as tempting as ever. A stay in Urubamba, area of the valley between Pisac and Ollantaytambo is known as the Sacred Valley of the Incas. It is a long narrow valley which, in the southern region, goes back up to Urcos and towards the north, crossing Ollantaytambo before it finally reaches the citadel of Machu Picchu. Over the years, the power of the Incas became more and more firmly implanted. The terraces are a testimony of the vast production of food, and the Ollantaytambo ruins reflect the ambitious plans of the leaders of Cuzco
