WOO-HOO! Black Foam Core ordered Should be here 6-17Slide 5: Themed Artworks How do you your art, community, family, friends, connect size, mounting & hangingSlide 6: Themed ArtworksSlide 8: Your Connections themed art work will have some size restrictions. With an art exhibit that incorporates so many different mediums, subjects and styles it is necessary to create some kind of visual continuity Our show will be using a 3” border and banding to accomplish the visual continuity! Do as many pieces as you want we will do our best to hand them all!Slide 9: Black Foam Board 20 x 30 Largest Paper Size 14 x 24 As you begin planning your Connections artworks remember the largest size the paper, canvas or whatever you are working on can be is 14’ x 24” but… the foam board can be cut to an any smaller size To get 3” black foam core border all around add 6’ to the paper width and 6” to paper height I can cut it for you on my mat cutter Paper/Canvas other 3” 3” 3” 3” Email studioe109@aol.com with your sizes as soon as you have theSlide 11: Mounting the artwork on Foam Board 1.Paper (or other media) be glued directly on the foam board 2.Canvas on stretcher bars can be screwed on from the back 3.Paper can be raised and floated for a 3 dimensional feel Paper mounted directly on foam board Canvas- screw thru back of foam board into stretcher bars Mount extra smaller piece of foam board to backing foam board and mount paper 1 2 3Slide 12: Squeeze out a big blob of hot glue here and on other side and. Bury the outside end of the paper clip in it . Let dry! Then tie or wrap wire to both of the loose ends of paper clip If you have problems we can help you on installation day. Hot glue gun 2 paper clips Bent open Wire or String Hanging foam boardSlide 13: Individual Artworks location & hangingSlide 14: Individual ArtworksSlide 15: Individual Artworks Artwork does not have to conform to show theme Must be framed and ready to hang Has no size restrictions Not required to hang anything in this area Without an idea of who or what size, bring 1 or 2 pieces, more if they are smaller and we will do our best to hang everything. There is additional hanging space in hallways.Slide 16: Installation and Munch July 31 @ 1:30Installation: Installation Everyone Bring artworks and extra tools, tape, scissors and anything you think you might need and even some stuff you don’t think you will need for your work Bring Munchies & wine to share It is a fun working afternoon and a great chance to meet all of the Artist Way Groups and see great creatives at work!Slide 18: Show set up Aug. 6 th at 3:00 pm Email studioe109@aol.com if you are volunteering for thisSet up Volunteers: Set up Volunteers 4 (at least) more is always better and more fun! Clean up back room, put away unused tables Arrange tables & chairs Set tables with linens, skirts, decorations If you can not get home to change, let me know maybe we can run out for supper and change in gallery.
