Two friends
Two hand-held mirrors
A small flashlight
A paper target
A dark room

Step 1:
Hang the paper target on the wall and give each of you friends a mirror.

Step 2:
Turn off the lights and turn on the flashlight.
Slide5:
Step 3:
Turn the flashlight at one of the mirrors in your friend hand and watch how the light bounces off the mirror.

Step 4:
Have your friends try to bounce the light reflection off their mirrors onto the target.

Change places with your friends and/or change the location of the target and try again.

See how any targets you and your friends can hit and have fun.

Write about your “Mirror Darts” game. Be sure to include not only how many times the target was hit, but also describe what the light did. Why you think the light acted that way?
