Vanadium Applications :Vanadium Applications Vanadium is a strategic metal used
predominantly for high strength steel
alloys and new uses are continually
being found.
Steel - imparts strength, hardness
and corrosion resistance.
Titanium Alloys - jet engines, airframes,
rockets, golf clubs and nuclear application.
Chemicals, catalysts for sulphuric acid, plastic,
dyes, pigments, dietary and glass.
Vanadium Applications :Vanadium Applications New battery applications are
making electric cars possible.
Vanadium Lithium Ion is double
the capacity, half the size with much
lower recharge time compared to
proposed batteries for 2010-2012
electric automobile launches.
World energy demand is increasing
exponentially and the environment
is a large concern. High capacity
Vanadium Redox batteries have seen
massive appeal in Eastern Asia. They are a
superior replacement to lead-acid batteries and
are used extensively for backup power and
helping generators cope with large surges in
demand. They can be charged and recharged
indefinitely and are environmentally friendly.
Vanadium Demand :Vanadium Demand “Domestic demand for structural steel should
come under pressure in coming months,
Prices of Vanadium, used to strengthen steel,
are expected to remain stable”
Evraz Group SA's Highveld Steel & Vanadium Ltd., August 25th 2008
Primary producing countries are South Africa,
Russia, China and Australia.
World production is currently approx. 100,000
tons a year while demand is approx. 120,000
tons.
Since 2003, world demand for Vanadium
and the price of the metal had increased
steadily until late 2008. Production of steel alloys
and Vanadium demand are forecast to rise
primarily from China, India and the USA.
Apella could represent the first major North
American supply.
Vanadium Demand :Vanadium Demand Apella Resources is poised to become the first primary source
for Vanadium production in North America. Measurement in Tonnes
Apella Project Location Map :Apella Project Location Map 260km
Vanadium Project Highlights :Vanadium Project Highlights All Vanadium projects located in mining friendly Quebec, Canada. Quebec offers
rebate in excess of 40% on exploration dollars spent.
Projects are accessible for work all year round
Mineralization starts near surface and is open pitable
Nearly all infrastructure already in place: 161k power lines, network of highways and
logging roads providing access to every corner of the projects, major towns close by,
rail lines for transport of ore already in place and work force readily available.
Processing of ore would be an environmentally friendly mechanical process, requiring
no chemicals.
Very likely, ore produced would be ship ready as a vanadium enriched iron additive
for steel production
No competitive new source of Vanadium slated to come online. These are the only
major North American Vanadium Projects
Iron -T Vanadium Project :Iron -T Vanadium Project Previous exploration by Noranda Inc. confirmed the presence of Vanadium,
Titanium and Iron mineralization over a distance of more than 20 kilometres.
43-101 values and
Apella’s confirmed grades
from Fall 2008 Channel
sampling are comparable
to Vanadium deposits
currently being mined.
* Apella cautions readers that the numbers and quotes pertaining to reserves are historical and pre-NI 43-101 in nature and are derived from sources outside of Apella
Iron -T Vanadium Project :Iron -T Vanadium Project The 100% owned Iron-T Vanadium project contains
the Bell River Vanadium Deposit
as well as 100 additional
strategic claims.
Apella 2008 Channel
sampling assay results
yielded grades as high as:
0.819% Vanadium Pentoxide
12.9% Titanium
45.3% Iron
Iron -T Vanadium Project :Iron -T Vanadium Project
Lac Dore Vanadium Deposit :Lac Dore Vanadium Deposit Initially discovered in 1954 by Dominion Gulf.
Not until 1966 was vanadium content discovered by
Gilles O. Allard
70 km southeast of
Chibougamau.
Quebec highway, road
and rail accessible
and situated close
(35km) to 161kV
transmission lines.
Lac Dore Vanadium Deposit :Lac Dore Vanadium Deposit Main claims staked by Apella Resources Inc. in August 2007.
(awaiting final Quebec Government approval)
Reported to be the largest proven Vanadium-Titanium-Iron Deposit in
North America and 2nd largest in the world.*
*Apella cautions readers that the numbers and quotes pertaining to reserves are historical and pre-NI 43-101 in nature and are derived from sources outside of Apella
Lac Dore Vanadium Deposit :Lac Dore Vanadium Deposit
Lac Dore North Vanadium Project :Lac Dore North Vanadium Project
Lac Dore North Vanadium Project :Lac Dore North Vanadium Project Acquisition of the Lac Dore North claims began late Spring
2007 and encompass
24 claims.
(approx. 940 acres)
Mechanical clearing of
overburden has yielded
significant mineralization.
Claims situated within the perceived
extensions of the Lac Dore deposit.
Lac Dore North Vanadium Project :Lac Dore North Vanadium Project Surface stripping Lac Dore North October 2008 Surface stripping
Lac Dore North October 2008
Lac Dore North Vanadium Project :Lac Dore North Vanadium Project
Lac Dore North Vanadium Project :Lac Dore North Vanadium Project Winter 2008 exploration Program completed with 60 channel
samples cut from magnetite outcrops and bedrock spanning
500 metres.
The 2008 channel sampling
confirmed economic
grades of as high as:
1.089% Vanadium Pentoxide
12.3% Titanium
56.5% Iron
Apella anticipates the ability
to duplicate the Lac Dore
Deposit on these claims.
* Apella cautions readers that the numbers and quotes pertaining to results are historical and pre-NI 43-101 in nature and are derived from sources outside of Apella
Stratigraphic Comparison :Stratigraphic Comparison Comparison of depth, chemistry and mineral ratio of three renowned Vanadium deposits. No Similar Merensky
or UG2 layer discovered, yet

2009 Field Program :2009 Field Program Vanadium Projects
Iron T Phase one complete and yielded encouraging results. Drilling anticipated to commence in 2009.
Lac Dore Currently awaiting government approval of claims.
Lac Dore North Phase one complete and yielded encouraging results. Perceived to be the NE extension to Lac Dore Deposit. It has the potential to duplicate and perhaps exceed the Lac Dore Deposit in size and grade. Geophysics and drilling expected to commence 2009.
