Another element that could be found around the house as an element is iron. Compound: water : Compound: water Water is a compound because it is a pure substance but it is made of two molecules. (H2O) Compound: Table Salt : Compound: Table Salt Table salt is a compound because it is made of two elements. (NaCl) Mixture: Air : Mixture: Air The reason is that it has different temperatures and could turn to a liquid and could change in temperature also. Mixture: Soil : Mixture: Soil The main reason is that it has rocks in It and worm poop and other things inside of it. Mixture: Ocean Water : Mixture: Ocean Water Ocean water is a mixture because it has other things in it. The usual substance that is inside is salt. Homogeneous: Orange Juice : Homogeneous: Orange Juice It is a Homogeneous mixture because it has different substances that made a different a different substance. Heterogeneous: Chicken noodle soup : Heterogeneous: Chicken noodle soup It is a Heterogeneous mixture because it has different substance that does not make anything new.
