This two year B.Ed. programme is comprised of three broad inter-related curricular areas as Perspectives in Education Curriculum and pedagogic studies and Engagement with the field. Engagement with the Field enables the student teachers to engage with the self, the child, community and school. This curricular area has three components, as ( i ) Tasks and Assignments, that run through all the courses as indicated in the syllabus (ii) School Internship and (iii) courses on Enhancing professional capacities(EPC). Objectives of Course 201 : To enable the student teacher to- 1. Understand the concept of Management. 2. Understand the concept of quality and enlist the dimensions of quality. 3. Understand the need and importance of school accreditation. 4. Acquire knowledge regarding the concept and process of Human Resource Management in school. 5. Get acquainted with the essential infrastructural resources for quality management. 6. Identify the problems and its management in secondary and Higher secondary education. 7. A co-curricular activity essentially takes place outside a typical pen and pencil classroom experience. It gives the students an opportunity to develop particular skills and exhibit their non-academic abilities. These activities might be compulsory, such as music, art or drama classes that take place during the day.:

Meaning of Co-curricular Activities Co-curricular activities (CCAs) earlier known as Extracurricular Activities (ECA) are the components of non-academic curriculum  helps to develop various facets of the personality development of the  child and students. For all-round development of the child, there is a need of emotional, physical, spiritual and moral development that is  complemented and supplemented by Co-curricular Activities. Definition of Co-curricular Activities Co-curricular Activities are defined as the activities that enable to supplement and complement the curricular  or main syllabi activities. These are the very important part and parcel of educational institutions to develop the students’ personality as well as to strengthen the classroom learning. These activities are organized after the school hours, so known as extra-curricular activities. Role of Co-curricular activities in student’s life Co-curricular activities  are the true and practical experiences received by students.  To a greater extent, the theoretical knowledge gets strengthened when a relevant co-curricular activity is organized related to the content taught in the classroom. Intellectual aspects of personality are solely accomplished by Classroom, while aesthetic development, character building, spiritual growth, physical growth, moral values, creativity,  etc.  are supported by co-curricular activities. Frankness and clarity in language and personality is supported by these activities. Role of a Teacher in Organising curricular Activities :

Role of a Teacher in Organising  curricular Activities The teacher must be a good planner so that the different activities  could be carried out  systematically throughout the year. It should be the duty  of the teacher to give more and more opportunity to the child while performing co-curricular activities. The Teacher should act as Innovator by introducing some innovative programmes. The teacher must be  a good organiser so that  the students experienced maximum of it. He should too act like as director, recorder, evaluator,   manager, decision maker, advisor, motivator, communicator, coordinator,  so that the student and child could gained maximum of finer aspects of Co-curricular activities. Creativity, Enthusiasm, and Energetic, Positive thinking are some of the facets of personality development and the outcomes of these activities. Skill development : It has been widely reported as to how taking part in various extra-curricular activities can enable a student to develop certain skills. Whether it is learning to talk extempore, participating in a debate, learning to sing and act, or even to play football, all these activities can enable the student to pick up certain skills. And these skills would stand him in good stead for a long time after.
