DEFINATION: We define social network sites as web-based services that allow individuals to: (1) construct a public or semi-public profile within a bounded system, (2) articulate a list of other users with whom they share a connection, and (3) view and traverse their list of connections and those made by others within the system. The nature and nomenclature of these connections may vary from site to site.

AGE GROUP 40 AND ABOVE Pros – Its very good as we can stay connectd sitting at home, can talk to our relatives staying abroad, can share views with young generation( e.g TWITTER) Cons – Its of no use as most of them don’t know the use of internet, most of the corporate persons have the fear of getting their confidential issues regarding their organisation to be leaked.

CONCLUSION Thus we conclude that as everything has its pros and cons, similarly SNS has its own advantages and disadvntages . But practically thinking, it’s a neccesity for todays fast world.
