Minimum membership is 10 maximum membership is 20. The registration of such co-orperative society is not mandatory by the government. There in all 3000 bachat gat in Navi Mumbai as per the record. For the formation of the bachat gat few legal formalities were fulfilled which are prescribed by NMMC. The legal paper work includes a form with the signature of all the members, a seal of NMMC & a approval letter from the NMMC head. Every month Rs.100/- is collected from every member and deposited in the bank. Mahila bachat gat have a common bank account in the bank of Maharashtra. In case of late deposit a nominal fine is charged of Rs. 10/- for per month & from per member. From this collected deposit loans are granted to the members only, with a very low interest rate.PRODUCTS produced:: PRODUCTS produced: The Mahila Bachat Gat provides Tiffin services to the people. Tiffin services is basically provided by Mrs. Sarvekar, a member of Mahila Bachat Gat. Prepares pickles, papad, stitches clothes, candle making, juices etc. Incense sticks and perfumes are also prepared by them Daily lunch services is provided by the members. Small packets of sabji & roti are sold at some places.Where to sale???: Where to sale??? The products produced are sold from home or from any shopping mall/complexes. NMMC rent stall to the bachat gats for selling their products. Banks provide loans to them for rental purposes. During festivals, NMMC provide free stalls to the bachat gats for the sale of products.Profits earned:: Profits earned : The women under this co-orperative society earns profit upto 25%. During festive seasons, the profit earned by the members is maximum. Each member earns a sum of Rs. 2000 during festivals.IN CASE OF DEATH OR MISUNDERSTANDING: : IN CASE OF DEATH OR MISUNDERSTANDING: If the member is expired due to any reason then the share of that member is paid to her family. In case of misunderstanding or any such reason when a member has to leave the co-orperative society, then the share of that member is paid to them and a new member is elected as replacement.BENEFITS FROM BACHAT GAT: : BENEFITS FROM BACHAT GAT: Bachat gat provides fund to the members who are in need at a very lower rate of interest. It plays a key role for providing employment to the housewives in the locality.
