Express a state, action, or event already planned before the moment of speaking Example What you are going to do on weekend. What you are going to eat for dinner

It’s unusual to say “I’m going to go to … Instead, we use “going to + a place or event EXAMPLE: Look at those clouds, it’s going to pour with rain. EXAMPLE: I’m going to study for the test.
