Some of the telecom service providers are:- : Some of the telecom service providers are:-Slide 3: India is the fourth largest telecom market in Asia after China, Japan and South Korea. The Indian telecom network is the eighth largest in the world and the second largest among emerging economies.Slide 4: The Indian Telecommunications network has 621 million connections. The sector is growing at a speed of 45% during the recent years. Presently, all the telecom services have been opened for private participation. The Government has taken following main initiatives for the growth of the Telecom Sector:Slide 5: No industrial license required for setting up manufacturing units for telecom equipment. 100% Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is allowed for manufacturing of telecom equipments. Payments for royalty, lumpsum fee for transfer of technology and payments for use of trademark/brand name on the automatic route.Slide 7: Welfare maximization Favour from the govt. Easy availability of loan from banks and market .
